……you seem to have a somewhat feeble grasp on the mandate given to us by the voters of New Hampshire.
This election represented a watershed rejection of the 80/20 Republicans. The voters strongly rejected candidates who were not 100% committed to strong moral and Fiscal standards. The days of sweeping the 20% of the platform that includes the social issues such as family, life and marriage are over.
The massive power shift in the state legislature was made possible not by the efforts of the far-right, social conservative wing of the Republican party, but by the votes of the unenrolled independents who had been stabbed in the back (and front) by an out-of-control Democrat majority and its reckless fiscal policies.
I ran for office as a Republican who proudly supports marriage equality for same-sex couples and handily defeated my opponent in November. And there were plenty more just like me. We ran on a platform of “liberty and justice for all”. Do those words sound familiar?
That said…GO JACK!
